Abstract

The development of human capital is a significant medium in shaping a high quality society. It is capable of producing students who have high intellect, good moral values, excellent identity, competent and inovative. Ironically, there students who are unable to balance their human capital development within their life which causes them to be incapable to socialize and interact with their surrounding community despite having high intellect. In contrast, there are also some of these students who are able to interact well with their community however, own insufficient level of intellectual. In the context of a balanced and holistic national development of human capital, cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain are very much needed. Eventhough there are various human capital development model that have been explored by scholars, the study of human capital development specifically on students in private higher education institution is yet to be discovered. In fact, human capital development based on Islaimc prespective is minorly discussed. Therefore, this study will focus on the human capital among students using a qualitative method based on content analysis. This study is significant to be examine due to its purpose of identifying the development of students’ human capital holistically, suited to the guideline of Islam.
