Abstract

The era of data is proliferating at an unprecedented pace, reflecting every aspect of our lives. The data revolution creates endless opportunities to confront the grand challenges of the 21st century. However, as the size and scope of knowledge increases, our capacity to interpret and contextualize it must also expand.  Drawing genuine data insights includes expertise in statistics and computer science and knowledge of the subject area. In this era, Data Science has become a new discipline and it copes Data Governance and Sharing, Data and Algorithm Ethics, Data Communication and Visualization, Data Analysis and Uncertainty Assessment, Data Generation, Processing, and Curation and also Data Literacy and Education. That is the motivation of this issue’s theme and it provides a publishing platform for articles related to any and all aspects of the Education, Social Science and Management. It is hoped by issuing this theme there will be some thoughts in education to seek social innovation. The social innovation is driven by purpose, partnership, and accountability, in order to develop solutions in the economy. It is the process of applying new solutions to global challenges through the development or enhancement of goods, services, business models and markets and reacting more effectively to unmet needs. Collaboration among businesses, the government, and civil society need excellent management to produce the innovations under Data Science discipline. Coincidentally, we have collaborated with NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF FOUNDATION AND GENERAL STUDIES 2019 which was conducted on 14th November 2019 at Universiti Selangor (UNISEL).
