PENILAIAN REKABENTUK KURIKULUM PROGRAM BERDASARKAN DIMENSI LATIHAN MENGAJAR
Abstract
Persaingan merebut kedudukan universiti terbaik dan tekanan untuk memenuhi keperluan industri dan kebolehpasaran graduan menuntut universiti mengemaskini struktur kurikulum agar seiring perkembangan semasa. Objektif kajian ini adalah untuk menilai pencapaian objektif pembelajaran berdasarkan dimensi latihan mengajar (praktikum). Maklumbalas pelajar diperoleh melalui borang soal-selidik yang diedarkan ketika mereka menghadiri taklimat praktikum. Responden terdiri daripada pelajar Diploma Pendidikan yang akan menjalani latihan mengajar selama 8 - 14 minggu di prasekolah terpilih. Pencapaian objektif program diukur berdasarkan perbandingan antara pengalaman pembelajaran (PB) di universiti dengan tahap kesediaan pelajar untuk menjalani latihan mengajar di prasekolah (KP). Didapati pelajar paling bersedia daripada aspek mengurus aktiviti kokurikulum, diikuti menampilkan sahsiah & personaliti diri, kemahiran mengajar dan mengurus rutin harian. Manakala pengalaman pembelajaran terbaik para pelajar semasa di universiti adalah berkaitan pembentukan sahsiah & personaliti, diikuti mengurus rutin harian, pengetahuan dan mengurus aktiviti kokurikulum. Rumusan daripada analisis ini menunjukkan terdapat gap lebih tinggi KP-PB pada domain pengetahuan dan mengurus aktiviti kokurikulum, manakala nilai lebih rendah pada domain kemahiran mengajar, mengurus rutin harian dan penampilan (sahsiah & personaliti). Gap sebegini menunjukkan para pelajar bersedia daripada aspek pengetahuan dan kemahiran mengurus aktiviti kokurikulum sebaliknya mereka tidak yakin memiliki kemahiran mengajar, menampilkan diri di sekolah serta membuat persediaan untuk menjalani pratikum. Maklumbalas ini memberi petunjuk kepada institusi untuk memperhalusi rekabentuk kurikulum bagi melahirkan graduan yang diperlukan di industri.
